Geographical and geopolitical conditions are the main context for the convergence or divergence of human societies and governments. Unfortunately, societies and governments have often used these factors as a means of providing environmental resources and territorial development. This approach often has led to wars in regions where these resources are more concentrated. These regions are generally located in West Asia and North Africa, which is the main part of territory of the Islamic world. Unluckily, the weakness of infrastructure and lack of convergence of Islamic countries has led to the intervention and invasion of countries in the regions in the last century.
The Sixth Congress of Geographers of the Islamic World with the focus on the synergistic and common geographical and geopolitical resources can lead to convergence in this region. So far, five congresses of geographers of the Islamic world have been held in Iran. |
